Rendering Profiling Attributes and Condition Sets
The options in the Profiling / Conditional Text toolbar menu allow you to choose how profiled content is rendered in Author mode, the DITA Maps Manager view, and other components in Oxygen XML Editor plugin.
Rendering Profiled Content in Author Mode
The options in the Profiling / Conditional Text drop-down menu affect the rendering of profiled content in Author mode as follows:
- Show Profiling Colors and Styles - If this toggle action is enabled, profiled content is rendered with colors and styles that are defined for each condition set. The colors and styles can be configured in the Profiling/Conditional Text - Colors and Styles preferences page.
- Show Profiling Attributes - If this toggle action is enabled, all profiling attributes set on the current element are listed with a colored background at the end of the content block and the profiled text is marked with a colored border.
- Show Excluded Content - If this toggle action is enabled, all profiled content that does not match the rules imposed by the current condition set is grayed-out, meaning that it will not be included in the published output. If it is disabled, the excluded content will not be shown at all for the current condition set.
- List of profiling condition sets that match the current document type - Selecting a condition set from this drop-down list will change the rendering of profiled content in Author mode according to the state of the other three toggle actions listed above. For example, if all three toggle actions are enabled, the content that matches the selected condition set will be rendered with the configured colors/styles, the profiling attribute set will be listed at the end of each profiled block of content, and all the profiled content that does not match the selected condition set will be grayed-out.
