Create a SharePoint Custom Action

To open a document from your SharePoint repository in the Oxygen XML Author Component applet, add a new custom action to the contextual menu of your Documents Library:

1. Open your SharePoint site in Microsoft SharePoint Designer®.
2. Click Lists and Libraries in the Navigation pane.
3. Open the Documents library.
4. Go to the Custom Actions panel.
5. Click the New button to add a new custom action.
6. Give a name to the action (for example, Open In Oxygen XML Author).
7. In the Select the type of action section, select the Navigate to URL option and enter the following text:

   javascript:openInAuthor("{ItemUrl}")

   Note

   This translates to a call to the openInAuthor(itemUrl) JavaScript function defined in the HTML fragment that was embedded in the Script Editor Web Part. The {ItemUrl} parameter will be expanded to the URL of the list item that the action is invoked on.
8. Click the OK button to save the action.
