Predefined Document Types (Frameworks)

Oxygen XML Web Author comes with built-in support for some of the most common XML document types (frameworks). A sample document from each document type is displayed in the Samples section on your Oxygen XML Web Author Dashboard page. The following predefined document types (frameworks) are included in Oxygen XML Web Author:

DocBook - A document type standard designed for a variety of documents (particularly technical documentation). For the DocBook specifications, see http://www.docbook.org/specs/.
DITA - An XML-based architecture designed for authoring, producing, and delivering technical information. For the DITA 1.3 specifications, see https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/1.3/specs/. You can also find a lot of helpful information in The DITA Style Guide Best Practices for Authors.
