Provide the guidance to partners or customers to check issue. If issue is identified then proceed to Axle Housing Removal and installation instructions found on documentation portal.

Issue - Rear Differential Noise

Check the following to identify issue and possible resolution

Diagnostic	Test Procedure	Observation	Results
Check for leaking lubricant	Examine axle	Are there signs of lublicant on the exterior of the axle?	Yes: find the source of the leak and replace seal if necessary No: Go to next step
Check axle gears for signs of wear	Remove differential cover to check gears	Are there any metal shavings present on teh interior of the axle or metal debris in the gear box?	Yes: Assess damange, and replace appropriate parts No: Go to next step
Check all bearing locations for signs of wear	Examine bearings for signs of wear.	Do any of the wheels not rotate evenly?	Yes: Check all bearings locations and replace where necessary if worn. No: Continue thorough examination to determine differenital noise.
If no issues clearly identified	Thorough examination of full vehicle	Is issues origin is unclear?	Yes: Schedule maintenance appointment
